Blog Indiana Valpo Coming to Golden Tech February 24th
Golden Tech is proud to announce that Blog Indiana – the state’s definitive internet marketing conference – will be hosting their February regional event in our Boiler Room. The event will be held on February 24th at 7pm CDT and will feature marketing technology and SEO blogging expert Douglas Karr.
What is Blog Indiana
Blog Indiana was a simple idea conceived by Shawn Plew and Noah Coffey. On a much smaller scale, but similar to the college kids in 1969 who went to a farmer in upstate New York asking to borrow the land to have a three-day concert, Blog Indiana became an idea that caught on like wildfire when it was introduced in 2008 to the internet marketing community in Indianapolis. Traditionally a 3 day event held in August, Blog Indiana has taken their act on the road in 2010, stopping off at various cities throughout the state.
Their first stop was in Bloomington, IN in January. The featured Speaker was Erik Deckers of Professional Blog Service. Here’s a video of his presentation.
Who is Douglas Karr?
Founder of The Marketing Technology Blog and President and CEO of DK New Media, Douglas Karr is a highly sought-after consultant whose clients today include WebTrends and ChaCha. Mr. Karr is often considered a pioneer with his long track record and solid reputation for developing and implementing proven advanced SEO, blogging, email marketing, and other innovative inbound marketing strategies.
Blog Indiana Valparaiso event format
The format will start at 7pm CDT with an introduction. It will quickly be followed by Douglas Karr’s presentation. Then last part will be dedicated to a free form Q&A panel session.
The Blog Indiana regional event will quickly be followed by one of #nwitweetup’s now-famous #aftertweetups which will start at Golden Tech’s Boiler Room and could lead anywhere.
Registration
The event is free and if you don’t register you can still very much attend, but the folks at Blog Indiana would like you to register via EventBrite so they can have a better idea of what to expect in terms of attendance. And then you get a nice tweet from the Blog Indiana Twitter account announcing your registration.
